Seasonal Production Assistant – Embroidery (No Experience Required)
Position Summary:
Burghardt Sporting Goods is looking for dependable, hands-on team members for an entry-level seasonal production position in our Embroidery Department. No embroidery or production experience is required, we’ll teach you what you need to know.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with their hands, and being part of a team. The tasks are straightforward, easy to learn, and play an important role in helping our embroidery team keep production moving efficiently.
Our embroidery technicians operate the machines and handle the more technical aspects of production. This position helps keep work moving efficiently by taking care of the preparation, finishing, and support tasks surrounding the embroidery process.
We are open to hiring one full-time seasonal employee or two part-time seasonal employees, depending on availability and scheduling. Hours will generally fall during our daytime production schedule, Monday through Friday.
While we're flexible on the specific days and times, we’re looking for someone who can commit to a regular routine between the hours of 6am and 4pm.
Seasonal employees should be available to work through the end of our holiday season, which wraps up on December 23, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Garment Preparation: Remove garments from bags and packaging and organize them so they are ready for embroidery production.
- Embroidery Finishing: Trim excess backing material and loose threads from embroidered garments to give the finished product a clean, professional appearance.
- Hooping Assistance: Help place embroidery hoops onto garments and remove them after embroidery, as trained and directed by the embroidery team.
- Production Support: Stage garments, move completed and unfinished work between areas, gather supplies, and assist technicians with day-to-day tasks so they can keep embroidery machines running efficiently.
- Organization: Keep garments, work orders, supplies, and production areas organized throughout the day.
- Assist with other simple production tasks as needed during busy periods.

- No previous embroidery or production experience required.
- Dependable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable learning repetitive, hands-on tasks.
- Able to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Willing to jump in wherever needed to help the team keep production moving.
- Comfortable working independently as well as alongside a production team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move throughout much of the workday.
- Ability to use hands for repetitive tasks such as trimming threads, handling garments, and working with embroidery hoops.
- Ability to lift and move boxes or garments as needed.
- Comfortable working in an active production environment.
