Position Overview

Burghardt Sporting Goods is seeking a detail-oriented, adaptable Operations & Webstore Administrator to support our daily operations while growing into a key role within our expanding online group store business.

This position starts with a strong foundation in administrative and operational support, while progressively taking on responsibilities in our webstore and e-commerce operations as we continue to automate processes and transition to our new POS system (Chipply).

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across departments, and is excited to grow into a more digital, systems-driven position.

About Our Webstores

Burghardt Sporting Goods offers online group stores for teams, schools, and businesses to simplify ordering custom apparel and equipment. These stores eliminate manual order collection and allow individuals to order and pay online, creating a streamlined experience from purchase to fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administrative Support (Current Focus)

  • Enter and manage detailed sales orders and purchase orders with a high level of accuracy. 
  • Match SKUs, item numbers, and pricing across systems. 
  • Route paperwork and digital information between departments. 
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to follow up on purchase orders. 
  • Coordinate logistics such as deliveries, installs, and service schedules. 
  • Process returns to vendors and assist with issue resolution. 
  • Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical). 
  • Order and manage office supplies and vendor relationships. 
  • Provide general office and administrative support across departments. 
  • Perform physical and digital filing along with other administrative tasks as assigned.

Webstore & E-Commerce Support (Growing Focus)


  • Conducts launch reviews to verify products, pricing, dates, shipping options, and store settings.
  • Monitor active webstores and manage adjustments, timelines, and customer expectations throughout the selling period.
  • Coordinates with Team Sales, Production, and Customers throughout the store lifecycle.
  • Closes stores and prepare sales order packets to route to the next departments.
  • Enter sales data with accuracy and work across multiple software platforms to complete orders and send customer notifications.
  • Prepare and close out organized order packets for and from the fulfillment team.
  • Support sorting, packing, and shipping processes as needed. 
  • Communicate with internal teams and customers to answer questions, resolve issues and close out orders.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve order discrepancies before they impact the customer experience.
  • Production and Receiving Runs: routing boxes for fulfillment 
  • Completes production in our Chipply software against paperwork from Production.
  • Proactively monitor deadlines, order status, and project timelines to ensure expectations are met.
  • Assist with product setup and organization on webstore platforms. 
  • Prep and post products to our website

  • Orders are processed accurately and on time across both operational and webstore systems. 
  • Communication between departments is seamless and proactive. 
  • Webstores launch cleanly and run without issues. 
  • Problems are identified early and resolved before impacting customers.
  • The role evolves alongside our systems, taking on more digital and process-driven responsibilities over time. 

Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Strong attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy. 
  • Outstanding memorization skills.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and ability to prioritize. 
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and learning new technology. 
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. 
  • Clear written and verbal communication. 
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Team-first mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the day. 
Experience & Education

  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative, operations, or order-processing role. 
  • Experience with e-commerce, order management systems, or retail operations is a plus.
